What are "Observations"

Opinions. Everybody’s got them.

As a former journalist, my life has involved observing what’s going on around me and trying to put it in context for readers.

You can take the woman out of the newsroom, but not the newsroom out of… oh, well, you get it.

So from time to time, I will venture into cultural, social, and political observations. I am a Democrat. I am not a socialist unless you consider caring about people and believing that people need help to reach their potential, and sometimes everyone needs a hand up (have you ever been on unemployment? I have.), is socialist. I believe in social responsibility.
